ACE offers ways to meet new friends, become involved with campus activities and have fun! Any student who is a client of Student Access and Accommodation Services can participate.
The Academic & Campus-Community Empowerment (A.C.E.) program seeks to encourage and empower students with disabilities to receive maximum benefit and achievement in the academic, extracurricular, and social aspects of their experience at Illinois State University. Students are provided opportunities to gain knowledge of leadership and self-empowerment and use those skills to become engaged participants in the campus community.
The A.C.E program has two components: the Mentor Program and the Campus Involvement Initiative which promotes involvement and participation in the social activities offered in the campus community. The program is held throughout the academic year. Information can be obtained about this program through the Student Access and Accommodation Services office, posted flyers, and e-mails sent to students.
